Nico Barajas (seudónimo) Nace en Cuautepec, barrio alto, ciudad de México el día 21 de marzo de 1972.


Su primer contacto con el arte ocurre cuando tenía 5 años de edad: Sus padres decidieron cubrir con papel por completo una de las paredes de su pequeña vivienda, en la que Nico tenía la plena libertad de crear personajes fantásticos y paisajes de su imaginación, con lo que el autor descubrió que su mano izquierda pintando con acuarelas, le daba una gran felicidad y satisfacción.


De formación casi autodidacta, entre los años de 1992 a 2001pasaron por sus manos los diversos materiales de arte que configuraron su estilo.


Sus creaciones son en muchas ocasiones, resultado de sus lecturas. Entre sus autores favoritos se encuentran Saramago, Hesse, Castaneda y Bukovsky, por lo que su obra discurre entre conceptos filosóficos, religiosos y la cotidianeidad de las clases bajas.


En su estilo ya fraguado, se encuentran reminiscencias de artistas como Warhol, Lichtenstein, Seurat y Rousseau.
